Family Savings Card (Introduction: 2009 AD)
Value: Tk 10,000; 20,000 rupees; 50,000 rupees; 1,00,000/- 2,00,000/- 5,00,000 and Rs.10,00,000.
Where to get: Can be purchased and encashed from National Savings Bureau, Bangladesh Bank Branches, Commercial Banks and Post Offices.

In case of encashment before maturity, profit will be earned at the rate mentioned in the above table and if the excess amount is paid, the remaining principal amount will be deducted from the principal amount and adjusted.
Tax at source: 5% on total investment up to Tk 5,00,000/- (Five Lakhs) in 5-year Bangladesh Savings Paper, 3-monthly Profit Based Savings Paper and Family Savings Paper at the rate of 10% on the profit on investment above that Tax is deducted at source.
Who can buy:
(a) Any Bangladeshi woman aged 18 (eighteen) and above,
(b) any Bangladeshi physically challenged (male and female) and
(c) Any Bangladeshi (male and female) citizen of 65 (sixty five) and above.
Upper limit of purchase: Maximum 45 (forty five) lakhs in single name.
Other benefits:
(a) Profit payable on monthly basis.
(b) Nominees can be appointed / changed and canceled.
(c) After the death of the purchaser of the savings bond, the nominee can immediately withdraw the money by encashing the savings bond or withdraw the profit as usual month to month till maturity.
Note: A maximum of Tk 50 Lakhs in single name or a maximum of Tk 1 Crore in joint names can be invested in 5 (five) year Bangladesh Savings, 3-month profit based savings and family savings.
